Core Power Yoga With Malaika

Ever have the feeling that you just needed a little bit of love and light in your day but you didn’t know where to get it from?  Love doesn’t get bottled up and released so easily.  It’s hard to find the ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.  So what do you do?  You do what I do.  You got to Core Power Yoga and you dive into the most spiritual experiences by taking class from one of their extraordinary teachers who just have it!  Will everyone have it?  I always say, different strokes for different folks, which means you may think so, but the next person may not.  However, this studio certainly breeds great energy, professionalism and what I mentioned above, lots of love.  And for that, I completely look forward to the days when I get to go there.

I usually dive into classes offered by Kumi, Elissa, Mary A or Kaleigh.  But now my new found Malaika is a gift.  If you are looking for some tough love and an insanity-like workout, then go to Marxel.  Either way, you can rest assure that you will get the most divine type of class from either of these yogis.  There may even be others that I have not yet tried out yet who are fabulous.  So let’s recall why we even practice yoga to begin with:

According to Breaking the Chains of Obesity, 107 Tools, tool #6:

  1. Yoga invites you to listen to your body
  2. Yoga decreases discomfort and disconnect between mind/body
  3. Yoga improves flexibility, strength and core endurance
  4. Yoga releases bad energy
  5. Yoga teaches you how to breathe properly
  6. Yoga helps you with spiritual realization
  7. Yoga teaches you how to be fearless
  8. Yoga helps you open your heart to the world
  9. Yoga helps you fall deep in love with yourself
  10. Yoga gets rid of tension in your body
  11. Yoga teaches you how to connect with G-d
  12. Yoga brings light into your life
  13. Yoga offers you the ability to practice patience

How do you pass on all of that?  After I take an amazing yoga class, not only do I feel euphoric, but I feel fulfilled.  I talk about finding new outlets that you can turn to in my book which yoga happens to be for me.  What’s your healthy outlet?  In yoga class, get ready to dive into an amazing experienceespecially at Core Power Yoga.  What a terrific outlet to turn to instead of food, alcohol, drugs or whatever your addiction may have been.  For some, none of those were ever your issue, but stress is.  Stress can cause heart disease and ultimately end a very innocent life.  So learn to let it go.  What is your it?  Are you ready to let it go?  When you can identify what it really is to you, you can look forward to breaking your chains from unhealthy habits, for real! xo JZ
