How to Eat Healthy at a Friend’s Home
Going out is one thing, but going out to a friend’s house is another. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve gone to friends’ homes and had no options that are JZ FITNESS approved to choose from. Not only did I desperately have to eat the junk they served, but the junk would never fill me up. Even worse, I would leave hungrier than when I first got there. Just terrible.
And so, I started doing things to help this situation. One, I would eat before leaving my house just in case I get there and people talk to me for a whole hour before feeding me. Gosh, sometimes it is more than that. I look at people as if to want to eat their pinky when it takes forever to feed me (I am being sarcastic obviously!) I just have a rhythm for my body type and being super duper athletic, the machine needs fuel- always. So with that said, another suggestion is to simply suggest to your friend what to serve (look at all the recipes under my website HERE). You can even bring a healthy option to the party that you can eat if nothing else tickles your fancy. Yes, wise move if I say so myself!
And so, I had the honor and pleasure of going to my friend’s house the other night. She asked me, “So fitness queen, what should we cook for you?” Golden, I thought. Just the question I needed to get all fired up to go there that night. I told her “wild fish, veggies, more veggies and a salad to start.” Of course, she listened! And so, the menu goes like this:
Salad to start (watch the video below cause she gives you the visual of this beautiful masterpiece)
A delicious guacamole dressing
Main Dish
Wild Salmon (size of my palm is what I cut off)
Served with steamed broccoli (plain and simple-I splashed hot sauce on there, spoiled me!)
She had garlic potatoes but JZ passed on these cause those were high GI (which I don’t do at night)
Happy Ending:
JZ FITNESS COOKIES. Can the table be happier? I doubt it. The hubby was speechless as he dove into 3 (maybe 4) JZ FITNESS cookies. The recipe is HERE.
